Mubboo Verdict
Ideal for McCormick Place or Wintrust Arena eventgoers who value convenience over charm, with modern lobbies and attached walkways, but expect basic rooms and spotty service.
Insider tip: While marketing touts its event connectivity, the hotel’s real edge is its complete indoor access to Wintrust Arena—guests never step outside. Yet, late-night front-desk performance can turn a planned early check-in into a nightmare, with one guest’s reservation cancelled at arrival.

★ Real traveler reviews
Verbatim excerpts from TripAdvisor reviews.
“Just don’t. We booked this hotel for one night for a family trip to Chicago for a concert at Soldier field. The proximity to the venue and the supposed valet parking were the most important features for us when choosing this hotel.”
“I stayed at the Marquis last month in April My friend and I were attending a comedy showcfor her Birthday. The hotel is a great location. I had no idea the wintrust Arena was attached to it. I didn't have to go outside which was a huge plus for me.”
“We come here annually for a meeting and have stayed here before. Our family has reserved a room and even paid for one day early so we could have early check in but they cancelled our room when we checked in at 5 am. The check in people were so unkind and rude. Very unhelpful.”
“I have status at Hyatt and have been considering trying out Marriott, but after this stay I think I will not. The hotel common areas seem nice (lots of seating, easy to grab a snack, etc.) but the room seems dated, especially for the price! My room on the 13th floor has dirty windows.”
