Mubboo Verdict
Ideal for business travelers and conference attendees who prioritize a central riverside location and spacious rooms over flawless dining and lounge amenities.
Insider tip: The club lounge often runs out of food and seating, and the main restaurant is frequently closed for lunch, leaving guests unexpectedly hunting for meals elsewhere despite the hotel’s otherwise convenient location.

“This hotel is awful. I am here now and it’s filthy. The lounge has 1-2 people working, no seats, no food, no water. Zero tables cleared. Housekeeping is mid and the old guy who bartends downstairs is miserable and his service is poor. Stayed at a ton of Marriotts and are why the points redemption was lower than others….”
“Stayed at this hotel for a continuing education conference 7/15-7/17. The room was large and clean. The bed was especially comfortable. Lighting was an issue at the desk area. It was very dark and the tiny lamp did not help. I arrived around 1:00 PM and wanted to have lunch. The sit down restaurant, The Riverside Cafe, was closed.”
“Highlights: -Great location with easy access to nearby shops, attractions, shopping and restaurants. -Short walk to Navy Pier. My morning run along the Riverwalk was memorable. -Club‑level room was spacious, clean, and offered excellent views, including Navy Pier in the distance. -Helpful doorman, always ready to assist with Uber/Lyft pickups.”
“I recommend this property. The location was great, with being along the river walk. The atmosphere was positive and pleasant. The room was spacious and clean with a great view, which is why I booked it. The value was fair. Noise level throughout the hotel was great for a property this size. The staff was friendly and helpful.”
