Mubboo Verdict
A historic tower with sweeping city views and a vibrant bar, ideal for those who favor character and nightlife over tranquility.
Insider tip: Behind the grand Art Deco facade, the hotel has a Jekyll‑and‑Hyde personality: impressive suites and generous upgrades clash with reports of theft, indifferent staff, and thin walls. Late‑night DJ sets draw no complaint, yet pleas to management go unanswered.

Art Deco tower with a speakeasy-style bar and 360° skyline views from the 30th-floor observation deck. Rooms feel compact and some furnishings show wear. Valet parking is a steep $55/night.

Verbatim excerpts from TripAdvisor reviews.
“I chose to stay at the Foshay for the room view. In that regard it was everything I wanted & more. The suite was up 23 floors and there were only 4 rooms total on that whole floor. The walls seemed a little thin, but I played a loud DJ set from 10PM-2AM with no noise complaints.”
“I sent the below email to the Director of Operations, Saturday night (14 Feb). On Sunday AM when I checked out, I asked for the Manager working to connect with me, either via phone call or email. Neither have responded. "Hello Mr. Allen Today was such a big fail tonight at this hotel.”
“If you are any of the following: a global traveler within Corporate America the last 20 plus years who has stayed in many, many hotels, volleyball mom or dad, still goes out to have a drink and listen to music, likes great food (I’m from Chicago so my palate has seen the best-LOL ), and a 4 out of 5”
“I had several thousand dollars worth of merchandise and prescription medication stolen from me at this location. Staff is useless about the matter which makes me believe this is some sort of scam. Plenty of classier establishments available in this city.”
