These are different purchase formats

TRUE METRIX is a 50-strip supply listing at $16.00. AUVON is a starter kit at $25.99; its current title names a meter, 100 strips, 100 30G lancets, and a lancing device. The kit contains more components, but a larger box is not evidence of better readings or better care.

If you already own a meter, the most important question is not which package looks cheaper. It is whether the strip is specifically listed for that meter, whether the vial is new and unopened, whether it is authorized for sale in the United States, and whether the expiration and storage instructions are acceptable.

Compatibility is a hard requirement

FDA guidance warns that meters and strips must be used in the intended combination. Do not put TRUE METRIX strips in an AUVON meter, or AUVON strips in another brand's meter, unless the device instructions explicitly identify that combination. OneTouch and Metene alternatives are also system-specific; their presence here is not permission to mix brands.

Before ordering, write down the exact meter model, check the strip name in its manual, confirm the lot and expiration information, and ask a pharmacist or diabetes care professional if insurance or clinical instructions constrain the choice.
