Mubboo Verdict
A polished beachfront resort with strong service and a prime Waikiki location, best for families and couples who value convenience and can overlook steep parking fees.
Insider tip: Beneath the corporate Marriott sheen, the property wins loyalty through small, human moments—a pool attendant sprinting with ice for a child, a general manager who remembers business guests—offsetting an aging layout and parking headaches that front-desk staff seem powerless to resolve.

“I continue to choose the Waikiki Marriott Spa & Resort for my business travels to Hawaii! This hotel is in a great location, has excellent views and most importantly provides excellent customer service. The manager Chi continues to ensure his team provides customer service excellence which is what keeps me returning to this property.”
“It’s one disappointment after another, and nobody helps - avoid at all cost. The parking garage (it’s $65/night) is cramped and always full. This means you have to use valet - but the valet desk doesn’t even have a phone, so get ready to wait 20 minutes for your car.”
“We recently stayed at the Waikiki Marriott and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. One of the biggest advantages of this property is its location.”
“All the staff we met were fantastic. My son had a very minor slip at the pool and he had a staff member there in seconds offering ice and medical attention if needed. He was totally fine, but the attention they had to the community was great. Service at adult pool was fast and accurate during several trips.”
